Evaluation of Performances!

Anarchy delivered a great performance. Their use of space and transformational props was fantastic. The way they used slow motion and flashback was very cool and effective. It also added an element of humour. Their use of current and modern forms of anarchy such as the Census malfunction that happened recently was effective because the audience could relate to it. They also used masks which was a very interesting. All of them had really great focus during their performance.

What worked well in our group?

Just the combination of people in our group was great. We all had similar thought processes regarding the topic. We were always open to ideas and suggesting new ideas, even on the day of the performance! Being involved with the performing arts community at Redlands since year 7, I have never worked with a group who have put on a great show on the first night and and even better show on the second night. It is very rare that the second night is better than the first because people generally lose energy and focus and become complacent. I am so proud of what we have achieved as an ensemble.

What would we have done differently?

Well personally, I really loved the way we worked. So I would not change anything except for the initial stages of this assignment. We struggled in the beginning to solidify our piece and get an effective message across. However, we eventually got there and once we did, ideas evolved automatically. So next time, I would use the time more effectively in class to firstly make sure everyone in the group is on the same page and that the message of the performance is clear and concise and not a generalised broad topic.
